Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan

The "Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan" will be organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. The duration of the Abhiyan is 29 May to 12 June 2025.

Key Objectives:

• To create awareness among farmers about improved agricultural technologies including livestock, poultry, fisheries, etc.
• To create awareness among the farmers about various government schemes and policies on agricultural development.
• To mobilize scientific fraternity for reciprocal learning and document grassroots insights for strengthening agricultural research.
• To understand local-level needs and document farmer’s feedback on improved technologies and their innovations.

Key Themes:

• Creating awareness among farmers about improved techniques, new varieties and government schemes
• Promotion of natural farming
• Educate and make farmers aware about the use of balanced fertilizers as per Soil Health Card (SHC)
• Demonstration of Agri-Drone Technology by KVKs, ICAR Institutes, and IFFCO
• Extensive use of ICT to create awareness among farmers
• Dissemination of other improved cropping techniques like Direct Seeded Rice (DSR), Mechanization in Soybean Crop (Raised and Furrow system, BBF etc.)

Team Composition:

• Multidisciplinary Teams
• 4-5 experts in each team
• Total 2000 teams
• 3 teams per district & each team visits 3 places daily

Targets:

• 1.0 - 1.5 crore direct interactions with farmers
• 10 - 12 Lakh farmers/day
• 2000 total teams
• 700 districts
