- Detected and identified lineage of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever Virus (CCHFV) emerging in India.
- Developed Novel Molecular Beacon probe based Diagnostic test for rapid detection of CCHFV.
- Established In-house Diagnostic Preparedness for detection of CCHF, Nipah, MERS and Ebola Virus infections.
- Developed Prototype Diagnostic PCR Array for simultaneous detection of 22 emerging viruses.
- Developed of in-house Viral Metagenomic pipeline for identification of viruses using Next Generation Sequencing.
- Designed an all-new Duck specific 60K Microarray chip and Upgraded the 44K Chicken chip to 60K chip.
- Identified the differences in pathway activation and effector molecules in response to HPAIV H5N1 infection between the susceptible species (chicken) and tolerant species (ducks).
- Identified miR-485 that targets the PB1 gene of AIV as well as RIG-I of host system, as a novel anti-influenza therapeutic molecule.
- Developed Thermoresistant Rinderpest Vaccine and Canine Parvovirus DNA vaccine.
